That Terrier Is Terrified

My picture book, That Terrier Is Terrified, tells the story of a mom and daughter who bring their anxious rescue dog, Bean Sprout, on a hike for the first time. Along the way, they encounter a series of scary surprises—a huge poodle and a hawk, swooping low with talons outstretched. They realize that, although Bean Sprout’s anxiety is often too big for her own good, it can sometimes warn them about danger.

A celebration of familial love and the Northern California redwood forests, this book is for readers of Matthew Cordell, Terry Milne, and Phoebe Wahl.
